December is a certainly a time to bond with family and show out of towners the magic of the city. We wanted to give you a helping hand in narrowing down the plentiful options of entertainment in Chicago. Here are a few things going on the weekend of December 9th that range from laid back to a little more fancy.
Hamburger Mary’s, located in Andersonville, is having their weekly Hambingo! Every Sunday from 8 PM to 10 PM, Hamburger Mary’s dedicates their HamBingo to a different Chicago organization. For $15 you can play all night and all the proceedings will go to the organization at hand. Why this Sunday, December 11th, from 8 to 10? The organization hosting will be the Illinois Caucus for Adolescent Health. ICAH is dedicated to working around youth-friendly healthcare and education, rights in schools, and other major core areas. Our assistant has previously worked with them for a year.
Purchase your tickets for the Chicago Christmas Crawl in Old Town. With food and cocktail specials, attendees can collect a holiday plate and sample different options. A food crawl sounds absolutely delightful considering the array of options in Chicago.
Still in need of a holiday present? The Randolph Street’s Holiday Market will offer you affordable antique, vintage, and modern goods. Take advantage of their ticket offers to enhance your experience from a family package with drinks for you and snacks for the kids, to a 4 girlfriends (or guy friends) package with included drinks. With free parking and free gift wrapping, this will be an inclusive experience for you to enjoy.
Treat your kids and the rest of your family to the 35th Annual Holiday Treasure Hunt and Tea Party. Let the Art Institute take your kids on a journey through the museum’s gallery making art and history come alive. Then enjoy a lovely tea party in their historic Stock Exchange Trading Room.
Remember, the great thing about Chicago is that there’s something for everyone.
